Submissions are welcome in areas that address the conference theme.

Abstracts

Abstracts no longer than 300 words should be submitted online via the submission button below by 5th August 2016.Submissions should follow the format described in the online submission portal. All abstracts will be reviewed independently by two reviewers. Notification of outcome will be sent to the submitting author by 09 September 2016. All abstracts of papers accepted will be included in the final conference program.

Submissions should indicate the proposed presentation format which may be:

1. Symposium

A symposium will take the form of an integrated series of three papers around a clearly identified theme. The symposium chair should submit the abstracts for all presenters, as well as an additional 200 word statement of (a) the aims of the symposium; (b) the relationship of the topic to the conference theme; (c) the relevance to the conference audience; (d) the expertise of presenters. Symposia should be designed to run for 60 minutes in total, with 20 minutes allowed in the conference program for each of the three papers (15 minutes: presentation; 5 minutes: questions).

2. Individual Oral Paper

Individual oral papers will be related to the conference theme and will be presented in the context of recent research and / or policy.  Oral papers may report on work using a range of methodologies.  Oral papers will have 20 minutes allowed in the conference program (15 minutes: presentation; 5 minutes: questions).

3. Posters

Posters in either digital traditional format are suitable for shorter communications, and for work-in-progress.  They will be scheduled during the lunch break.

Information for NPI Students and Teaching Staff

NPI students and teaching staff, from campuses, other than Melbourne, whose abstracts are accepted as part of the conference program, will be eligible to apply for up to $400 financial support towards travel and accommodation costs to Melbourne. For the application form, please click here.
